Expats SportEv 2018 draws huge response on National Sport Day


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Cultural Forum's 'Expats SportEv 2018 drew a huge response from the expatriate community held recently at Al Sadd Sports Club to mark Qatar National Sport Day in (QNSD).
The day's events started with a colourful march past by all the 16 teams competing in the event. Capt. Kapil Kaushik, Defence Attache at the Indian Embassy, received salute from the participants, led by Kerala's top school athlete and record holder in 100 metres hurdles in the national senior school athletics championship, Aparna Roy. Ali Faraj al-Ghanem, Sports Director of Al Sadd Sports Club, delivered a felicitation speech on the occasion.
Capt. Kaushik and M S Bukhari, Corporate Relations Chairman at Indian Sports Centre, handed over the meet's torch to Aparna Roy and Expats SportEv General Convener, Majeed Ali.
