(MENAFN) The Syrian Arab army is set to launch a new operation to eliminate the terrorists who are laying siege to Hama and the northern suburb of Homs.
Terrorists use these areas as a platform to launch their daily attacks on cities on the western outskirts of Salameh, particularly the districts of Taldara, Qubbat al Kurdi and Al-Kefat.
Syrian army positions in this area are considered a defensive line of the Resistance forces to defend the city of Salamyeh.
According to an information source, the Syrian army supported by the Allied forces launched a major offensive against terrorists deployed in the locality of al-Rastan located in the southeast of Hama.
Thursday, February 15 is the date on which the agreement on de-escalation zones in the suburbs of Homs will have expired. So far there has been no question of any extension.
