Kuwait Parliament amends enterprise law
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Feb 14 (KUNA) -- The National Assembly on Wednesday approved bills to amend some provisions in the Law 98/2013 regarding the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises.
Twenty-nine MPs voted in favor the draft laws, two opposed and three abstained, out of 34 MPs attending today's parliamentary session.
Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of State for Youth Affairs Khaled Al-Roudhan said during the session that the modification were necessary enhance entrepreneurs' competition in these fields.
With the mew amendments, the fund role would be expanded to sponsor the funded projects, instead of restricting its role solely to financing. (end) jy.rk
