Al Shunnaq: Jordan rejects sectarianism, Palestinian cause is top priority

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Zarqa, Feb. 14 (Petra)-- Jordan utterly rejects the discourse that promotes sectarian in the region, National Constitutional Party Secretary General, Ahmad Al Shunnaq, said in a lecture on Tuesday. During the lecture, which was organized by Jordanian Association for Development and Political Awareness in Zarqa, on political and economic challenges facing the country, Al Shunnaq said Jordan averted conflicts and political alliances, pointing out that finding a just settlement for the Palestinian cause is the Kingdom's top priority as the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital will bring peace and security to the region.

Over decades, Jordan has managed to overcome crises and challenges that faced the region, he said, pointing to Jordan's role that calls for finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis that preserves the country's territorial integrity.
