Doha: Vodafone encouraged thousands of people to get fit for the future by participating in the various community activities that today marked Qatar National Sports Day.

As Platinum Sponsor of Qatar Foundation's National Sports Day event, Vodafone engaged young and old with exciting interactive and digital activities powered by Vodafone's state of the art network. These activities were designed to showcase how technology can also enable an active lifestyle and promote wellbeing. Attendees got the chance to experience augmented reality football and virtual reality car racing.

Additionally, there were fun activities for the family such as paddling around a race track and a kids rock climbing challenge. Visitors also enjoyed specialty coffees and treats by the locally established and run Flat White café.

Vodafone also supported a total of more than 6000 employees and their families from Mowasalat and Ali Bin Ali Group to have a fun filled day by sponsoring their respective Sport Day events.
Moreover, Vodafone celebrated the day by launching a new offer- all customers who recharge with QR60 or above, from 13-15 February 2018, get 2GB Data for free for 7 days.

'I'm delighted with our staff and the public's enthusiastic participation in today's Vodafone activities. His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's initiative to promote sports and fitness in Qatar is of huge public value and something Vodafone is very supportive of so we are proud to have engaged several community groups on this important day, said Ian Gray, CEO, Vodafone Qatar.
