Qatar- Defence Minister joins armed forces Sport Day activities
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs DrKhalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah participated yesterday in the armed forces' event at Meqdam camp on the occasion of celebrating the National Sport Day.
HE Chief of Staff Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim attended the event along with a number of senior army officers.
The celebrations featured sports, social, cultural and entertainment activities.
The annual event aims to promote awareness of the significance of sport and its role in the life of individuals and societies.
It also promotes exercising as a civilised and healthy approach that brings social ties closer among army personnel. QNA
