Top shooters set date with Qatar Open Shotgun championship

Doha: A host of former World and Olympic Champions have reached Doha for the 2018 Qatar Open Shotgun Championship which begins officially from February 16 at the Losail Shooting Range.
The event, hosted by Qatar Shooting and Archery Association (QSAA), will end on February 23.
On Thursday the pre-event training will take place while on the following day, the first day of the Trap event with the final taking place on Saturday.
Besides the top-ranked shooters a number of Qatar players will be vying for top honours including local hero and Olympic bronze medalist Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah.
Many promising Qatari players, who have been undergoing training on a regular basis under the coaches of QSAA will also be seeking to hit the bulls eye at the championship.
Shooters will compete in Trap, Double Trap and Skeet categories at the event which serves as an ideal preparation for some of the top ranked players for the new season.
The competition will feature both men and women shooters.
There will be a separate category for the juniors and will serve as an ideal platform for the age group players to rub shoulders with some of the established stars.
The event will kick off with Trap event, followed by Double Trap and the championship will culminated with the Skeet category.
