International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) are set of rules and regulations that guide preparation of financial reports. These standards are currently being enforced in around 100 countries including Oman where companies are required to fully comply with IFRS. Knowledge of these standards is crucial for anyone working in the accounting and finance field. ACCA IFRS Diploma qualification is designed to equip candidates with advanced knowledge and specialisation in the area of financial reporting.

Nadiya al Alawai, HR director CMA said, 'I am pleased that all of the CMA candidates who attended the course passed IFRS diploma. They had attended classes conducted by Majan College and found the classes very useful and helpful. The CMA deals with regulated entities that are obliged to apply IFRS in the preparation of their financial statements, hence it is imperative that CMA employees are well versed with IFRS.'

Ikram ul Haq, fellow ACCA, and director ACCA programme Majan College, appreciated ACCA's efforts in the provision of short specialised courses to help working individuals gain expertise in particular areas of accounting and finance. He emphasised the importance and need of such professional qualifications for employees, to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in their respective roles in an organisation.
