Yemen battle causes Houthi group to lose over 41 fighters


(MENAFN) Sources have reported a day after a conflict in Yemen's western coast areas to have left over 41 soldiers who belonged to the Shiite Houthi group dead, with almost fifty other fighters wounded.

According to sources from a military hospital, "more than 41 dead bodies of the Houthi fighters and nearly 50 injured arrived at the medical center during the past 24 hours."

The current clash with the Iranian-supported Houthis on the outskirts of Hodeidah has brought about considerable advancement to the UAE-supported government forces.

The military source explained "in brief, the Saudi-backed government forces are winning while the Houthis are losing the battle on the western coast." The source further added "the Houthi fighters are withdrawing and apparently preparing themselves to flee the battleground."
