(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Top-ranked independent, Oman law firm, Al Busaidy Mansoor Jamal and Co (AMJ), has announced the promotion of two special counsel in the Litigation department to the position of partner as of January 1, 2018.
Dr Mohammed Yousef and Dr Ayman Ali are senior litigators with law doctorates from leading Egyptian universities. They joined AMJ in 2005 and 2008 respectively and each heads up one of the firm's specialised dispute resolution teams. They join AMJ's existing five-partner line-up comprising former Supreme Court judge Dr Said Hilall al Busaidy, elite-ranked senior Counsel, Mansoor Jamal Malik, Ardeshir Patel, Marcus Pery and Ahmed Hashim.
Dr Yousef is recognised as a leading practitioner in dispute resolution in Oman. As well as his expertise in commercial and civil litigation and arbitration, he has carved out a niche practice in the field of Oman's administrative law with a successful track record of prosecuting and defending cases before Oman's administrative court.
Dr Ali is an accomplished litigator and arbitrator with a track record of successfully defending and prosecuting claims before the primary and appellate courts in Oman. As well as expertise in commercial and civil litigation, Dr Ali has a specialist practice in criminal law including white collar crime.
