LG's OLED TV sales top 14,000 units in Jan.


(MENAFN) LG Electronics Inc. has announced that its domestic sales of high-end organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs have surpassed the 14,000 unit mark in Jan.

The sales figure indicates that the company sold one OLED TV every three minutes last month, in comparison with the 5,000 units in Jan. of last year.

The South Korean company said the growth of OLED TVs was driven by sales of large-sized TVs, including 65-inch models.

According to the company, the 55-inch OLED TVs are currently priced between KRW2.39 million and KRW3.09 million, down from KRW15 million in 2013.
