SsangYong Motor to ship new SUV to India in Q3


(MENAFN) SsangYong Motor Co. has declared that it will export its flagship G4 Rexton sport utility vehicle (SUV) to India in the third quarter of 2018 as part of its drive to expand its presence in abroad markets.

The South Korean unit of Indian carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has signed lately a contract with its parent company to ship the G4 Rexton SUV as a complete knockdown kit so it can be assembled in the market.

Attempting to benefit from growing demand for SUVs in the vast emerging market, the company has introduced the G4 Rexton at the Auto Expo 2018 in Greater Noida, near New Delhi, last week.

The carmaker has shipped the large SUV to Europe, Latin America, New Zealand and Southeast Asian markets since its domestic launch in April 2017.
