Kuwait to lose over 2,200 Filipino employees
(MENAFN) Kuwait is to send over 2,200 Filipinos employed in the country back home following the proposal of President Rodrigo Duterte when harassment reports emerged.
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific have received a request from the President to arrange flights for employees who wish to travel back home from Kuwait.
Labour Secretary Silvestre Bello III declared "we have been informed that as of Friday there were 2,200-plus Filipinos who are willing to go home."
Free charter flights have been prepared by the airline, with nearly 500 Filipino employees already flying to their country from Kuwait.
