MoU between Central Bank of Oman, DFSA signed


(MENAFN) A Memorandum of Understanding has been inked between the Dubai financial Service Authority (DFSA) and the Central Bank of Oman, aiming to join forces in managing and approving of companies that are functional in the two markets.

DFSA's Managing Director Bryan Stirewalt has signed the MoU along with the Omani bank's Executive President Tahir bin Salim bin Abdullah Al Amri in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The managing director of DFSA stated "we are honoured to host the President of the Central Bank of Oman. This agreement is indicative of the value we place on regional cooperation and sustainable growth of financial services in our respective markets."

He continued "DFSA already enjoys a warm relationship with the Capital Markets Authority of Oman, with whom we signed an MoU in October 2008."
