Sheikh Saif bin Zayed also spoke about the lesson learnt from the Address Hotel fire incident, which reflects the importance of having faith in what you do with a vision of success. The UAE and its pearl Dubai "Danat Al Dunia" (The World's Pearl) are in the forefront to contain regional and international crises and overcome them, and even come out stronger, he added.
He once again stressed that the UAE inspires many success stories by hosting giant projects in the region, including the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant, and adopts the strategy of the great fourth industrial revolution. It offers to the world projects, accomplishments, and initiatives, which foresee the future and adapt concepts of artificial intelligence. It will host the world at the Expo 2020 Dubai. All these accomplishments are thanks to the wisdom of the UAE's leadership and its established faith in sustainable development based on correct scientific ideology and challenging the impossible to become an example, a beacon to the entire world, and a source of inspiration for millions, he said.
In the second part of his speech, Sheikh Saif told several inspirational social stories from the country's residents, who are made up of over 200 nationalities brought together by tolerance, which were inspired by the country's leadership and social accomplishments, as a road to success and creativity, making the UAE a platform to launch their journey.
He also mentioned a story that expressed the importance of initiative and investing in opportunities and played recordings of five stories from people of various nationalities who achieved international economic success and organised major economic projects that began in the UAE. Sheikh Saif said that he chose these stories by lottery, due to the number of the UAE's success stories while calling on people to benefit from opportunities to improve without delay.
In the third part of his speech, Sheikh Saif discussed several events and national accomplishments during the summit in February, which he said is a pivotal month in the history of the UAE, as 18th February, 1968, witnessed the famous "Arqoub Al Sedira" meeting between the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, which launched the Federation. He added that on 10th February, 1972, Ras al-Khaimah joined the Federation, and on 12th February, 1972, the first session of the Federal National Council, FNC, was held, and in 12th February, 1976, the meeting between Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and a NASA delegation took place, and in 23rd February, 1994, the founding father honoured the UAE's soldiers for their role in liberating Kuwait.
Sheikh Saif stressed that the UAE's success was summarised by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, who said the "house is unified" as the country's secret to success, which is highlighted by the country's support, as a big family, for the efforts of institutions and its effort to provide opportunities, empower the youth and inform its people about the importance of optimism and positive energy and the individual energies of the community, which were inspired by the leadership, as patience and success are a mixture of inspiration, effort and hard work.
In the fourth and final part of the speech, Sheikh Saif stressed that integrity, which the UAE has adopted since its establishment, has contributed to transforming the country, with its exceptional leadership, into a source of inspiration, and its current accomplishments, which were achieved through the efforts of the wise leadership, were the inevitable outcome of the country's leadership and people and the foundations of positive citizenship, in line with their combined faith and futuristic vision, with sustained integrity, morals and vision, and finally overall integrity.
H.H. explained that the absence of these elements led to the loss of credibility of countries that missed these facts, unlike the UAE, which represented a model of humanitarian giving and success stories, making it a beacon of creativity and international leadership.
Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan launched, at the end of his speech, with the attendance of The Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the "Global Inspiration Platform", which carries the name of the late Sheikh Zayed and coincides with the Year of Zayed, to tell his story and journey in overcoming challenges, as a source of inspiration to the world to give to humanity, and for the UAE to remain a land of inspiration and opportunities, and an international collection of inspirational stories that serves humanity with its messages of tolerance, love and peace.
The platform was launched with a speech that said, "The Founder of the UAE the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is a leader who inspired leaders, officials and the community, and a unique example of overcoming difficulties.
He was and still is an example to be followed by all who want to realise their ambitions and turn their dreams into reality, as well as a man of far-sighted visions, and the sands of the desert were not an obstacle to achieving his goals.
He managed, with his inspiration, to bring together seven separate emirates and announced the birth of the UAE, a country that now has an international stature, which was made through its accomplishments and people in record time. Sheikh Zayed taught everyone that inspiration creates opportunities, and opportunities are the first line to be written with the pen of determination and will in the story of success."
The platform of "Zayed the Inspirer" celebrates his centennial, from 1918 to 2018, as the founder of the UAE and its inspiration. The platform was launched by the UAE, the "Land of Inspiration," to offer humanity an international collection of inspirational stories from around the world, as a source of inspiration to all humanity.
In the beginning of his speech, Sheikh Saif shared the secret of UAE's excellence and its lead in international indicators. He demonstrated a picture of a deer and a lion to recall the wisdom and connotations in this story, which is the beginning of the first chapter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed's book "My Vision." It states that you have to hurry with the sunrise each morning more than others to achieve success in life and understand its message, which carries a deep meaning.
Sheikh Saif played video recordings of five success stories, which were scripted in the UAE. Its heroes were inspired by the country's leadership, people and journey to walk on the path of success, parallel to the UAE's civilizational journey in ensuring a bright future.
