Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins to skip White House visit
(MENAFN) Justifying his resolution to skip a visit to the White House with his team, Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins said he had no interest in joining a photo op.
The player in the Super Bowl winning team explained "at this point in time, I'm not interested in photo ops."
He added "I'm very interested in doing the work on criminal justice reform. I'm very interested in meeting with members of both parties - doesn't matter to me."
The player then continued "this is just not one of those opportunities, this is a celebratory event, where we come, the president comes in, shakes a couple hands, takes a picture and leaves. And I'm just not interested in that."
