(MENAFN) For the first time since the war in Iraq, the US base of al-Udeid in Qatar is on alert, after the destruction of an Israeli F-16 in the Syrian Golan by the Syrian DCA, according to Arab News.
In response to Israeli airstrikes assaults on a Syrian Arab Army base in central Syria, Syria's anti-aircraft defense system shot dead an Israeli F-16 on Saturday.
According to Sky News, the two Israeli pilots of the F-16 have ejected. The pilot and the navigator were transported to the hospital.
Meanwhile, retired General and Syrian Army military adviser Haytham Khalil told the Iranian news agency Tasnim about the destruction by the Syrian DCA of an Israeli F-16. For him, "Israel will have understood very well the message that the Resistance wanted to send to it: the next war will be the one that will oppose it to the whole axis of the Resistance, which is far from serving its interests".
