Speaker of the Advisory Council H E Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met with President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Gabriela Cuevas Barron, on the sidelines of the Third Conference of the Arab Parliament and the heads of Arab parliaments, in Cairo yesterday.
They exchanged views on parliamentary issues of mutual interest and relations between the Advisory Council and the IPU. The Speaker also met the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), Antonio Pedro Roque Da Visitacao Oliveira. They discussed the efforts of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly in the Middle East, including the peace process in the region, as well as bilateral relations between the Advisory Council and the PAM.
