Applications open for Falling Walls Lab Oman competition


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Research Council (TRC) has opened applications for the Falling Walls Lab Oman competition that will be organised by it, in collaboration with Falling Walls Foundation on May 7 at the Holiday Inn Muscat.

The Falling Walls Lab Oman competition provides an opportunity to present, in English, an idea of a research project, entrepreneurial or social initiative that is relevant to the world of today in just three minutes, stated a press release.

The presentation should convince the high-level competition jury that comprises experts from academic fields, research institutions and businesspersons.

Applications are open for outstanding talents and innovative thinkers from all disciplines, Bachelor's and Master's students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral candidates, young professionals and entrepreneurs.

The competition is being held for the third consecutive year in Oman for selecting one candidate who will represent the sultanate in the Falling Walls Conference that will take place in Berlin, Germany on November 9. The conference involves various scientists and researchers from around the world and aims to build and strengthen the links between academics, distinguished innovators and entrepreneurs from all areas.

The winner who represents the sultanate in Berlin gets an opportunity to attend the Falling Walls Conference where leaders from science, industry and policy-making meet.

The deadline for the submission of applications is March 8, added the release.
