(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Syrian Free Army, which fight alongside the Turkish troops against separatists Kurds in Afrin, said Saturday it controlled positions outside Afrin.
Opposition Syrian Free Army said in a statement its forces controlled Deir Ballout village and an intersection following a battle with Kurdish people protection units (YPG).
The opposition forces took control yesterday of Nasriya and Dukkan villages in Afrin, part of Turkey's operation Olive Branch against Kurdish separatists' strongholds.
The statement said the Syrian Free Army and Turkish troops have been fighting Kurdish militants since January 20. (end) tk.bs
