(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Ajman Police denied allegations made by a GCC national by a person of determination who posted a video alleging that he was attacked and mistreated by the Anti-Narcotics Department of Ajman Police.
Lieutenant Colonel Seif Khalifa Al Muhairi, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department, denied the veracity of delusional claims by H.A.,stating on various social media accounts that he had been mistreated by Ajman Police officials.
"This allegation has no truth nor accuracy to its name. We received a complaint that a man was seen roaming amongst paint and construction materials shops inAl Hamidiyah area in Ajman.
"A team from the Anti-Narcotics department rushed to the location where the man was behaving in abnormal manner. The man seemed to be moving unsteadily amongst the shops.
"After speaking to him they understood that he has difficulty enunciating and was not completely aware of his surroundings.
"He had no money or identifying documents on his person. He claimed that he was looking to buy some paint."
Lt Colonel Al Muhairi noted that he was treated with the utmost respect and was courteously taken in to the Anti-Narcotics Department for further investigation.
"15 minutes after his arrival at the police center, his brother was notified of his whereabouts.
"He said his condition may cause him to lose awareness of his surroundings and that he has a person of determination card.
"We are committed to serving our community with dignity, respect and professionalism. This is per the specifications set by the Ministry of Interior.
"We urge the public not to believe or spread allegations before ensuring their accuracy and veracity.Our main mission is to serve the community in the best possible manner and ensure its safety."
