(MENAFN) An Asian student at a university campus in Dubai on Thursday morning was found by the Dubai Police who have ruled out criminal suspicion on the incident.
The student died after he committed suicide by jumping from the 5th floor of the university's building, the police said.
The investigations revealed that the 20-year-old student committed suicide because of failing for two consecutive years in the university, which discharged him for this reason, according to a security official.
The student's family did not know that their son had been discharged but when his father sensed that something is wrong, he went with his son to the university and pay the fees himself.
When the father and son reached the university, the son told his father, "I will go to the washroom." The student was sure that his father would know the truth. He preferred to die than to face his father.
In a statement, the university administration expressed regret for the incident and offered its condolences to the student's family, underlining that the incident caused great shock to all.
