AG objects to granting bail to Arjun and Kasun


(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) /wp-content/uploads/2018/02/z_p01-Aloysius.jpg">The Attorney General today raised objections to bail being granted to the head of Perpetual Treasuries Arjun Aloysius and former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kasun Palisena.

Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena are in remand custody over their alleged involvement in the treasury bond scam.

Arjun Aloysius and Kasun Palisena were arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) over the treasury bond scam and had been remanded till February 16.

Aloysius and Palisena had been named by the CID together with former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran as the prime suspects in the scam.

Mahendran is currently in Singapore. (Colombo Gazette)
