EPC, Indian Observer Research Foundation sign MoU

ABU DHABI, 8th February 2018 (WAM) - Emirates Policy Center (EPC) and Indian Observer Research Foundation (ORF) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a partnership between the two think tanks in a number of fields related to issues of international peace and security and enhance their efforts in studying regional and international issues in the security and political fields, including projects, programmes and events that support the mission and vision of the two institutions.

The partnership covers hosting conferences and workshops, exchanging publications by the two institutions, producing joint research projects and establishing a visiting research fellowship program.

In the presence of India's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Navdeep Suri, Director of the Department of West Asia at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmad Al-Hamli, and Chairman of ORF Sunjoy Joshi, EPC President Dr. Ebtesam Al-Ketbi highly valued the pivotal ties between the UAE and India and keenness by the two countries to further develop and improve these ties.

Dr. Al-Ketbi said this MoU is part of EPC's strategy to diversify its partnerships and openness to renowned international think tanks. She expressed confidence in the new partnership and returns for EPC to affirm its presence as a leading regional think tank.
