Dhaka, Jumada I 20, 1439, Feb 6, 2018, SPA -- The 10th Conference of Tourism Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) was held here yesterday, it was reported today.
During the conference, the tourism ministers and heads of delegations, reviewed issues pertaining to the field of tourism among the member states in addition to the resolutions of the recent conferences aiming to enhancing social and economic development among the member states.
The conference affirmed the importance of sustainable tourism and activation of the OIC strategies and policies in the field of combating poverty.
The conference welcomed announcement of Madinah as a capital of the Islamic tourism 2017, lauding the Kingdom's efforts in enhancing Islamic tourism.
