H E Darwish discusses economic cooperation with Egyptian minister

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Darwish bin Ismail bin Ali al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs met Dr Hala Helmy, Egyptian Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Egyptian President's recent visit to the sultanate.

During the meeting, H E Balushi hailed the historic and political relations between the two countries pointing at the importance of enhancing economic and trade relations.

Dr Hala also stressed on the importance of strengthening the relations between the two countries. Mechanisms of enhancing economic and trade activities, as well as exploring available investment opportunities in various sectors, such as mining, tourism and ports were also discussed. The meeting also touched on the procedures regarding the avoidance of double taxation agreement between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the advisor to the Finance Ministry, secretary general of taxation, chairman of the State General Reserve Fund and the Egyptian envoy.
