Saudi- Vatican Secretary of State Receives MWL SG

Rome, Jumada I 20, 1439, Feb 6, 2018, SPA -- Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin received here today the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa.
During the meeting, Cardinal Parolin stressed the positive efforts being exerted by the League, which includes the peoples of the Islamic nation and occupies a special status in the Islamic conscience, especially in Makkah, commending the meeting that brought together Pope Francis and Dr. Al-Issa last September.
The two parties stressed their commitment to opening up the dialogue between Islam and Christianity, which has become necessary in light of the sufferings of many people due to extremist groups that practice violence in the name of religions.
