By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
Turkey will continue developing its defense industry, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Turkish media reported Feb. 6.
He said that presently Turkish engineers are working on a number of projects in the defense sphere.
Erdogan said Turkey is ready to cooperate in defense industry with other countries.
From 2011, Turkey has produced mobile outposts, which have proved useful in fight against the militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), the Canik TP9 handguns, unmanned aircraft ANKA, and other military equipment.
Turkey is also developing a military laser system.
Earlier, Turkey also conducted the trials of the domestically made long-range surface-to-surface missiles.
