3 civilians gunned down in Kandahar city
(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified armed men shot dead three people in the capital of southern Kandahar province on Monday, an official said.
The incident took place in the limits of the 3rd police district in front of Popal market in Kandahar city at around 12pm noon.
Deputy police chief Matiullah Hilal told Pajhwok Afghan News the masked gunmen gunned down three civilians and managed to flee the area.
He said soon after the attack an investigative police team reached the site and cordoned off the area.
No insurgent group has so far claimed responsibility for the assault.
