Kuwait- 5,000 out of 80,000 illegals leave


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Long lines of illegal expats wishing to leave voluntarily throng the Immigration Department

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Acting Director-General of the General Department for Residence Affairs, Major- General Abdullah Al-Hajri said about 5,000 violators have so far taken advantage of the Amnesty and have either left the country or legalized their stay in the country from Jan 29 until Feb 4, 2018. The amnesty period runs until Feb 22, reports Al-Qabas daily. Al-Hajri pointed out Indians topped the list and about 2,000 of the 32,000 have already left the country. In the second place came the Egyptians and about 1,000 violators of the 10,724 have left the country. Five hundred Filipinos of 11,809 have left while only 400 Bangladeshis out of 25,000 have taken advantage of the amnesty period.
