(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 5 (Petra) -- Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman al-Safadi on Monday said Iraq is a cornerstone of Middle East stability and urged the international community to support it in its reconstruction drive. The minister also underlined the importance of Iraq's victory against the terrorist Daesh organization. This came during a meeting with Jan Kubis, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Iraq and the head of the UN Assistance Mission in the country (UNAMI).
Al-Safadi and Kubis discussed UNAMI's role in supporting the Iraq government's efforts to achieve national reconciliation.
