AMMAN — Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Emad Fakhouri, will sign tomorrow alongside Enzo Quattrociocche, Secretary General of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) an accord to host the 27th annual meetings of the bank's board of directors, and the business forum at the Dead Sea, salted to be held next May. The bid to host these meetings aims to further boost the Kingdom's "distinguished" reform performance in the political and economic fields and is in light of the EBRD's expansion of its operations here, according to a ministry statement put out on Monday.
The events also eye to promote Jordan as a lucrative investment destination due to its strategic location as a regional hub with its cultural, touristic, and heritage diversity in a bid to lure foreign business entrepreneurs and private sector leaders.
