Kuwait- Lakers, Tahrir make winning starts
In the second match, Al-Tahrir team defeated the Olympic Team by a score of 43-39. The match was balanced and exciting, and the result was determined only after the fourth round. Secretary General of Kuwait Disabled Sports Club and Head of the Asian Disabled Basketball Association Sa'ad Al-Azma'a praised the distinguished level of the championship and the excellent performance of the players. He affirmed that the championship is one step closer for the national team to prepare for the West Asian competitions to be held in Amman, Jordan followed by the Asian Games (Asiad) that will be held in Jakarta later this year.
Al-Azma'a called on businessmen to follow the steps of Abdullah Al-Jasser who is the main sponsor of the championship, stressing that such championships are very important for the players as there are no local tournaments for the disabled basketball players. He revealed that the two matches of the golden square will be held today, whereby the team in the first place will play against the third team, and the team in second place will play against the fourth team. The results of the two matches will determine the two teams that will play the final match on Tuesday.
