Palestinian shot dead by Israeli forces in Jenin

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Feb.4(Petra) -- A Palestinian youth died, late Saturday, after being shot in the head during clashes with Israeli forces in Burqeen town near the West Bank city of Jenin, a Palestinian source said .

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that Ahmad Abu Ubeid,19, was pronounced dead after being shot in the head by Israeli soldiers live fire.

Violent clashes erupted after Israeli troops stormed the village of Burqeen in the northern West Bank for two times in an hour, where they conducted house searches and positioned snipers on rooftops .

During the military operation, Israeli soldiers detained dozens of Palestinians and prevented journalists and news services from moving and covering clashes in the town.
