Nissan's Chinese venture plans to sell 1.17m vehicles in 2018

(MENAFN) Nissan Motor Co.'s Chinese joint venture is planning to sell over 1.17 million vehicles this year, 5.3 percent more than last year.

As the automaker is expected to see growth slow to about 3 percent this year, the partnership's growth forecast is cut in half.

Last year, the joint venture witnessed sales increase 10.4 percent on-year to a record 1.11 million units, representing 27 percent of the total sales of Dongfeng Motor.

According to Nissan Motor's chief performance officer, the Chinese market is currently a main driver of Nissan's global growth and it will spare no effort to support the partnership with Dongfeng Motor and provide better products in China.
