Changan Ford recalls over 560,000 vehicles in China

(MENAFN) Changan Ford Automobile Co. Ltd. will recall more than 560,000 cars in China due to defective brake hoses.

According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the recall includes over 370,000 new Mondeo models made between Jan. 2013 and Dec. 2016, and nearly 200,000 Edge models produced between Sep. 2014 and Jan. 2017.

The administration said that the materials of the break hoses in these vehicles are not resilient enough and could lead to safety risks under extreme circumstances.

It also said that Changan Ford will start to recall the vehicles from Feb. 25 and replace the brake hoses free of charge.
