Kuwait- KAICIID to organize conf. on promotion of coexistence, citizenship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID) plans to organize an international conference in Vienna, Austria, on February 26-27.

The conference, themed dialogue among followers of different religions for peace, coexistence and citizenship, will gather eminent intellectuals, public figures, policymakers, religious leaders and representatives of international organizations from around the globe, Secretary-General of the Vienna-based center Faisal bin Muamar said Friday.

The gathering will debate ways to activate joint action to promote peace, social cohesion and coexistence among people with different cultures and religions, he said in a press release.

The conferees will focus on launching a regional hub for dialogue among religious institutions based on national partnership, he said.

They will also share views on the relationship between religious leaders and policymakers as well as the role mass media in this regard, bin Muammar added. (end) amg.gb
