The lavish ceremony held at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad cultural center, sponsored by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, ushered in Kuwait's national celebrations and brought together Kuwaitis representing all walks of life.

The celebrations are a chance to commemorate the history of this nation and remember the sacrifices of our forefathers, Al-Jabri told the press after the ceremony was over.

Al-Jabri, who heads an ad hoc committee in charge of national celebrations, pointed out that the gaieties of such occasions help whip up patriotic fervor as Kuwaitis look forward to a brighter and more prosperous future.

The Kuwaiti minister said this year's national celebrations carry the mantra of, "Wise leader, Loyal Nation", proving that the country would always remain a bastion of democracy, liberty and security.

He revealed that a myriad of exciting activities await Kuwaitis nationwide during national celebrations, as their country observes its 57th Independence Day and 27th Liberation Day, in addition to the 12th anniversary of the ascendency His Highness the Amir.

Dishing out advice to Kuwaiti youth, Al-Jabri urged them to "stand united for the good of the nation," handing His Highness the Prime Minster a commemorative gift to close out the ceremony. (end) sss.tab.nam
