(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Ramallah, Feb. 1(Petra) - A number of Israeli extremist settlers, early Thursday, targeted a Palestinian vehicle on the road between the villages of Asira al-Qibliya and Areef, near the West Bank city of Nablus, a Palestinian official said.

The Palestinian official in charge of the settlement file in the northern part of the West Bank, Ghassan Dauglas said in a statement that a group of settlers from the "Yitzhar" settlement ambushed the Palestinian citizens on the road and targeted one of their vehicles.

The car was badly damaged, but its owner was unhurt, he said, pointing out that the attack aimed at killing the occupant. Dauglas also warned of crimes that could be committed by Jewish settlers against the Palestinians.
