Shark fishing ban in UAE starting February 1
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) UAE's Ministry of Climate Change & Environment announced a ban on shark fishing on Wednesday.
According to a statement posted on Instagram, the ministry said that shark fishing is banned during the period from February 1 until June 30, coinciding with their breeding season.
The ban is pursuant to the Ministerial Decree No. 500 for the year 2014 on Regulating the Fishing and Trading of Sharks.
