Kuwait- Vacant posts in health ministry will be announced in February
They said these positions have been vacant for more than eight months and filling up these vacancies will enhance the capability of the ministry in the coming period which will witness the hand over of several major projects and huge medical facilities. Meanwhile, a delegation from the ministry and Vice-President for Medical Sciences at Kuwait University Dr Adel Al-Awadi met Civil Service Commission (CSC) Undersecretary Muhammad Al- Romi recently.
They discussed the current situation of graduates from the Faculty of Pharmacy, particularly those specialized in Clinic Pharmacy. They looked into previous requests to treat these graduates as equal to their counterparts in the faculties of Medicine and Dentistry.
On the other hand, Al-Awadi pointed out the inequality between the laboratory technicians working at the health sciences centers in Kuwait University and their colleagues at the Ministry of Health in terms of salaries despite having similar qualifications and job titles. He said this situation has prompted new graduates to seek employment at the ministry instead of the laboratories in the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Health Sciences, Public Health and Informatics
