Qatar to launch second edition of RC festival
(MENAFN) Chairman of Qatar RC Sport Center Sheikh Mohamed bin Fahad Al Thani declared the launch of RC festival's three-day second edition to take place Thursday evening at the Cultural Village.
He announced "the festival is considered the first of its kind in Qatar and the Middle East region for the latest models of RC aircraft which come in different sizes. It will also show the latest models of RC aircraft made in Qatar."
The festival is to be launched at Katara Beach and is to offer families with contests and entertainment events, aiming to raise awareness on such a sport.
It has been organized with the support of the Minister of Culture and Sports H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali and Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Governor H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud Al Thani.
