(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi has held separate meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia Workneh Gebeyehu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Burkina Faso Alpha Barry, Minister of Foreign Affairs of The Gambia Ousainou Darboe, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mali Abdoulaye Diop.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the African Union's heads of state and governments summit in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa.
The meetings dealt with bilateral relations and the ways to enhance them, in addition to discussing issues of joint interest.

Jazeera journalist's
detention
The Egyptian authorities have again extended the detention of Al Jazeera journalist Mahmoud Hussein for the 11th time, 404 days after he was first arrested on spurious charges.
Hussein was stopped, questioned and arrested by the authorities on December 20, 2016, after travelling to Cairo for a holiday with his family.
In a statement yesterday, Al Jazeera Media Network said it 'has condemned the repeated renewals of his unjustified detention, denies all the allegations against him, and calls for his immediate and unconditional release.
'Since his unwarranted arrest, Hussein has endured arduous months in solitary confinement, being denied his medical, human and legal rights. He is yet to be formally charged, the statement noted.
On Saturday, January 27, the Egyptian authorities arbitrarily decided to extend his detention for a further period of 45 days, Al Jazeera said.
The network stressed that it holds the Egyptian authorities completely responsible for Hussein's safety and well-being. Human rights and press freedom organisations have also condemned Hussein's detention.
