Saudi- SRCA President Receives IRCC Chief

Riyadh, Jumada I 12, 1439, Jan 29, 2018, SPA -- Head of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Qasim met here today with the President of the International Red Cross Committee (IRCC) Peter Maurer and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Kingdom.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two organizations, especially, in humanitarian domains and means to bolster humanitarian projects, in armed conflicts countries or areas hit by natural disasters and joint coordination, in order to alleviate the impact of suffering people, at these areas or countries, undergo.
IRCC Chief highly valued Arab coalition to support legitimacy, in Yemen, handover of 27 children and under-aged captured to the representative of the Yemeni government, at battle grounds giving to the Saudi border, where fighting are raging with the Houthi pro-coup militias, in order to return them to their families.
He also thanked SRCA for efforts exerted, in regard of coordination and arranging such an initiative, hailing SRCA endeavors to propagate International Humanitarian Law related culture and ongoing collaboration with the IRCC, namely, in the Program for Restoring Families' Links.
