200 Houthis join Yemen's Jawf


(MENAFN) Around 200 commanders and figures who are devoted to Houthi militia joined legitimate forces in Jawf, north of the country, the Yemeni army said on Sunday, adding that more are joining them by the hour.

Brigadier General Ali Mohsen al-Hedi said management is ongoing with Jawf clerics, dignitaries and chiefs who want to join legitimate forces and the national army.

A number of Jawf commanders and influential figures who are loyal to the Houthis announced their decision to join legitimate forces few days ago after the Yemeni army and the Saudi-led coalition advanced and liberated large parts of Jawf, according to Al-Arabiya.

A camp has been set for them to rehabilitate them under the army's management, According to Hedi.
