UAE- Arab Health exhibition sheds light on regional healthcare industry


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Arab Health 2018 opened its doorson Mondaymorning with more than 4,000 companies from over 150 countries taking part at the exhibition.

Running from January 29 to February 1, 2018, the event is the largest gathering of healthcare and trade professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.The 2018 edition of the event is expected to welcome more than 103,000 attendees. Accompanying the exhibition will be 19 business, leadership and Continuing Medical Education (CME) conferences providing the very latest updates and insights into cutting-edge procedures, techniques, and skills.

The 43rd edition of Arab Health was inaugurated by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.The 2018 edition of the event will see the introduction of the Personal Healthcare Technology Zone, where exhibitors will display the latest in 'Smart' Healthcare Technology that connects patients to physicians and hospitals/clinics.

Healthcare is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the world and is a key contributor to the UAE economy. Alpen Capital Consulting Services said that the UAE's healthcare market is expected to reach Dh71.5 billion in 2020 at an average annual growth rate of 12.7 per cent from 2015, which is marginally higher than the average growth rate in the rest of the GCC, noting that the market size in 2015 reached $10.7 billion.
