(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTNABUL, Jan 29 (KUNA) -- Turkish warplanes targeted 11 locations that belong to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Iraq on Monday.
In a statement, Turkish chief of staff said the targets were located in Qandil Mountain and Asos, noting the targets all neutralized.
The statement added Turkish warplanes destroyed also weapons caches and terrorists who were underway to carryout attacks on Turkish site at the borders.
Recently, Turkish military and security units has been incrasing their targeting at PKK locations and elements east and northern Iraq, in response to attacks inside Turkey and at its borders. (end) ta.mb
