Min: His Highness Amir spearheads Kuwait's development
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is spearheading full-scale development forecast to place Kuwait among advanced nations, the Minister of Commerce and Industry says.
In a statement marking the 12th anniversary of His Highness the Amir's ascendance to power, Khaled Al-Roudhan, also Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said His Highness had devoted his efforts since taking the helm of power to boost the economy as "the nerve of development and progress," stressing on diversifying income resources.
His Highness the Amir's vision (2035) constitutes a qualitative leap toward the future, with aspired objectives namely prosperity and preserving Kuwait as an oasis of security and stability.
His 12-year leadership has brought with it multiple mega projects linked up with various service sectors -- namely Jaber Hospital, Mubarak Port, Jaber Bridge which links up Al-Sabbiyah with Kuwait City, in addition to renovating main roads, building a network of bridges, Al-Zor Refinery Project, the new airport venture and residential towns.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad, dean of the Arab diplomacy, has played roles in developing government departments and institutions, in addition to contributing to promoting diplomacy, arts, culture, education, the press, sports and others.
Moreover, he has succeeded in sparing Kuwait repercussions from regional crises and pressing ahead with the march toward progress despite the difficulties.
Furthermore, one cannot neglect the sagacious external policy architected by His Highness, Kuwait's special status among nations attained through the balanced relations he has built throughout his long diplomatic experience and his success in resolving many regional and international crises, in addition to his relentless efforts to heal the inter-GCC rifts.
