Afghanistan- Death toll from ambulance bombing soars to 103


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) (Pajhwok): The death toll from Saturday's ambulance suicide bombing in Kabul has risen to 103 with 235 more inured, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said Sunday.

The have claimed responsibility for the deadly attack that took place in front of the MoI's previous building and in the vicinity of Gamhoriat Hospital at around 1:00pm.

Interior Minister Wais Barmak told reporters in Kabul that 103 people had died as a result of the attack that left another 235 people, including 30 policemen, injured.

The injured have been shifted to Ghamhoriat, Emergency, Wazir Akbar Khan and National Directorate of Security () hospitals.

Four suspected individuals have been arrested in connection with the Saturday's bombing, according to the MoI.

The powerful blast was carried out in a crowded area and left a scene scattered with body parts, blood and debris.
