UN: settling African crisis to bring about world peace


(MENAFN) The United Nations spoke about the African crisis on Saturday as it emphasized the significance of finding a solution to achieve world piece and growth.

In case Africa didn't benefit from its youth dividend, global growth wouldn't witness triumph, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres noted during the 30th African Union (AU) summit held in Ethiopia.

He insisted "the international community will not find peace and security if Africa is not able to manage not only its conflicts, but above all, to make prevention and find a solution to its conflicts."

"I have always seen African countries open their doors to refugees and migrants. This is a lesson that other parts of the world should understand," he further stated in admiration of Africa's part in tackling migration concerns.
